CLA Charitable Trust Scholarship: Ellis Cooney
Posted 18 February 2016
Ellis Cooney, a Rural Enterprise and Land Management degree student, has been awarded the CLA Charitable Trust scholarship at Harper Adams University.
Ellis, 21, from Taunton, Somerset, said: “I’m over the moon to have been chosen and trusted to represent the CLA as a scholar. It is an accolade for which I cannot thank the CLA enough for. I hope to become actively involved within the firm to show my appreciation for such a generous, career-changing scholarship.
“I applied for the CLA Charitable Trust Scholarship as I felt it was a unique opportunity which would enable me to learn and grow as a trainee land agent. The scholarship provides the resources to further broaden my understanding of chartered surveying beyond that taught during studies at university.
“My ultimate goal is to one day have the opportunity to be involved with estate management. The diversification and management of farm enterprises and estates is something I have found myself drawn to.”
